A Smoke Detector senses a Fire which activates the Fire Alarm. The Fire Alarm then signals the Energy Management System to Shut Down the Air Handling Equipment so as NOT to feed oxygen to the fire or allow the smoke and toxic fumes to be circulated throughout the entire building.

Simultaneously, the system notifies the Fire Department and announces voice command messages through the Fire Alarm and Audio System to vacate the building, turns on the lights, and flashes the outside lights, so the Fire Department and First Responders can easily locate the building.

At the main entrance an annunciator and a building floor plan indicate where the specific smoke detector is located.
